Hans leads Hydrogen & Clean Energies at SEFE, driving the strategic transformation to affordable, sustainable clean energy. With international experience across 25+ countries, he has driven several multi-billion-euro projects forward, among the world’s largest renewable energy-to-Hydrogen projects. His strategic mandates include Board roles at a biomass company and the MENA-Fuels Project of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Energy. As co-author of How to make Green Hydrogen economic?, he has shaped the market development discourse. As Worley’s VP Hydrogen, he initiated the low-carbon business growth. As Project Governance Officer at Vattenfall he steered the large-scale renewable investments and defined the governance frameworks. He also led Vattenfall’s global biomass business development, created and managed the Carbon Fund, financing emission reduction projects world-wide, and implemented financial turnarounds of national energy and water companies with Lahmeyer on behalf of World Bank. Hans holds a PhD in energy engineering and economics, MSc in mechanical engineering, and speaks four languages.
