Westenergy’s Head of Business Intelligence Juha Ripatti has experience in the Finnish energy industry since the early 2010’s, managing Westenergy’s circular economy and decarbonization strategy and project portfolio from 2019 onwards, especially focusing on the development of the company’s carbon capture strategy and deploying it into practice through feasibility studies, pre-FEED’s and commercial management. Most recently, this work has resulted in the co-operation with Koppö Energia and the project ECCU, aiming for an investment in full-scale carbon capture from the waste-to-energy plant that Westenergy owns and operates. Additionally, Juha has significant experience managing Westenergy’s small but highly professional interest representation team, working on regulatory issues and policies on the national and EU levels to enable the green transition, making the recycling of sustainable carbon back to society possible
