Prof. Dr. Nils Meyer-Larsen is Managing Director of the Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics (ISL) in Bremen/Bremerhaven and Professor at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. He holds a PhD degree in Physics. Since 2019, Nils has been working in the field of hydrogen and PtX technologies as well as applications in maritime transport and logistics. Besides other projects, he led a holistic study on the role of the maritime industry in establishing a German hydrogen industry funded by the German Maritime Centre and a study on the development and implementation of a port-centric hydrogen economy in the Ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven. Currently, he is part of the technical coordination team of H2B:IMPACT, Germany's first EU-funded Hydrogen Valley to be established in the German federal state of Bremen.
