Shandra Pandey is a deep-tech energy entrepreneur focused on the commercialisation of hydrogen technology. She leads SMART+IONS, a spinout from Aalto University and Tampere University, Finland developing reversible solid oxide technology that turns electricity into hydrogen and back, enabling hydrogen to serve as flexible energy storage. She drives the company's commercialisation strategy, fundraising and Business Development. With over 12 years of international experience across digital technologies and resource and energy systems research, including at the University of Alberta's Future Energy Systems, she brings a founder's perspective on the challenges of taking hydrogen solutions, and the infrastructure around them, from research to market. As a Doctoral Researcher at LUT University, she studies scalable business models across the hydrogen value chain. She serves on the Global Board of Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH), where she leads the Finland Chapter.
