Shandra Pandey is Co-Founder and CEO of SMART+IONS, a Finnish deep-tech spinout from Aalto University and Tampere University. Its patented reversible solid oxide cells convert surplus renewable electricity into hydrogen and back into power on demand, making hydrogen a flexible storage and balancing asset. She brings over 12 years of international experience in energy systems research and research commercialisation, including at the University of Alberta’s Future Energy Systems. She is also a doctoral researcher at LUT University, studying scalable business models and public–private collaboration across the hydrogen value chain. She serves on the Global Board of Women in Green Hydrogen (WiGH) and leads its Finland Chapter.
