Dr. Shobana Sivanendran, Energy Innovation Manager, Uniper
Shobana’s specialisation in the energy sector began with her leading consulting projects for Aurora Energy Research’s Advisory arm with a primary focus on the energy markets of Great Britain and Western Europe. She specialises in the economics of energy storage, flexible and hydrogen business cases, as well as power market dynamics. She is currently an Energy Innovation Manager with Uniper Germany where she focuses on understanding how future movements in the energy sector may impact the business case of various energy asset types across Uniper’s four core markets – Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Sweden.
Shobana graduated with a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. She has over 10 years of consulting & strategy experience, beginning in R&D consulting before moving into general management consulting across the public, private, and non-profit sectors, and later specialising in the energy industry.
