R&D Technical Lead,
Carbfix
Sigurður John Einarsson is an R&D Technical Lead at Carbfix, where he develops technologies that support the permanent geological storage of carbon dioxide through in situ mineralization. His work focuses on the practical challenges of moving carbon storage technologies from laboratory validation to field deployment, including CO₂ transport, injection systems, process integration, and scale-up.
Working across research and engineering, Sigurður leads projects aimed at evolving the deployability of carbon storage solutions. His recent work has focused on advancing technologies that support large-scale permanent carbon removal, including approaches for handling and storing carbon dioxide from dilute and distributed sources.
