Sven Schumann is an experienced leader in electrical engineering and hydrogen technologies. After completing his PhD at RWTH Aachen, where he later led the Energy System Technologies department at the Institute for High Voltage Technologies, he joined Siemens Energy, contributing to the development of high-current power supply systems for water electrolyzers before taking over as Global Head of Primary and Secondary Electric for Siemens Energies Electrolysis Business Unit (Sustainable Energy Systems). Since June 2024, Sven has served as Global Head of Primary Electric, driving project execution excellence and the development of a competitive converter portfolio for next-generation electrolyzer systems. He plays a key role in negotiating German grid connection requirements and revising the Demand Connection Code at European level for Power-to-X plants.
