Since 2013 Dr Kehler has served as President of Germany’s leading gas and hydrogen advocacy group, DIE GAS- UND WASSERSTOFFWIRTSCHAFT (The German Gas and Hydrogen Industry). He has also been a member of the Governing Board of Eurogas, the association representing the European gas industry, since January 2023, and a member of the NOW Advisory Board since November 2023. Dr Kehler holds a PhD in production engineering from the Technical University of Berlin and was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum in 2007. Dr Kehler studied and completed his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TU Berlin. From 1997 to 2009, he worked at BMW Group, before serving as CEO of erdgas mobil GmbH from 2009 to 2015. In 2007, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
