Ørsted’s Carbon Capture in Denmark
After being awarded a 20-year subsidy contract for its carbon capture and storage (CCS) project by the Danish Energy Agency, Ørsted immediatley commenced their project, with the first CO2 to be captured in 2025. This presentation will discuss the project, detailing the process from CO2 capture in Denmark, to storage in Norway. Bogi will highlight the different stages from Ørsted’s biomass combined heat and power plants, to transportation to the storage sites. Delegates will gain an understanding of the full process from how Ørsted captures CO2, how it is handled on site, and transported to the storage site.
