Integration of biogenic CO2 capture into the hydrogen production
Carbon dioxide considered as a molecule for fuels has been considered as a pathway towards energy storage. As a second pathway, however, is considered the use of biogenic methane resources to produce hydrogen and capture CO2. This privileged pathway merges the expertise in the biogas and carbon capture worlds, enabling the treatment of pollutants, bringing options to produce hydrogen and to have CO2 according to catalyst specifications if further production of sustainable fuels is envisaged. This presentation covers the value chain considered and the key technologies proposed.
