The study tested hydrogen filtered through Standard H2’s SULFUR MAGNET®, revealing a stunning result: hydrogen containing 10 ppm H₂S—when purified with the SULFUR MAGNET®—outperformed Zero-grade 99.995% purity hydrogen in SOFC fuel cell operation.

The results shocked even seasoned researchers. Not only did sulfur-scrubbed hydrogen match pure H₂ performance, but it also exceeded it, achieving a peak cell voltage of 0.838V, compared to 0.836V from ‘pure’ hydrogen. More than 15 hours of testing, degradation remained negligible and nearly identical to the baseline, demonstrating long-term stability and robustness.
