PEM Electrolyzer Testing PEM Electrolyzer Testing

HORIBA FuelCon has decades of experience in providing reliable testing and inspection solutions. With our technology, we support the path toward the energy transition and present our solutions aimed at strengthening global testing capacities for electrolyzers. The foundation for testing efficient, durable, and scalable electrolyzers at our company lies in high-quality, long-lasting components combined with reliable safety features. A high pressure level increases system efficiency and allows further savings on additional compressors for the produced hydrogen. With our Evaluator EC and Evaluator ES series, we offer test stands for PEM electrolyzers with operating pressures of up to 100 bar.

Key Benefits at a Glance

  • Robust components, maximum control accuracy, and proprietary control algorithms enable testing PEM electrolyzers at system pressures of up to 100 bar
  • Flexible solutions for all types of applications with electrical power demands up to 5 MW, supporting very high currents and simultaneously low voltages
  • Efficient and highly precise separation of gas and liquid phases
  • Real-time monitoring of all relevant system parameters
  • Electrochemical characterization such as impedance spectroscopy or single-cell voltage monitoring
  • 4-level-alarm concept for safe operation and protection of the operator, the test device, the test stand, and even the building
  • Fully automated testing, data visualization, and result post-processing using the proprietary HORIBA TESTWORK® automation
  • Customized test solutions based on individual customer requirements
