Catherine Reeves is Director of the Scottish Government’s Germany Office, based in the British Embassy in Berlin. She is the official representative of Scottish ministers in Germany, with a particular focus on the economy and energy, and is in Hamburg leading a delegation from the Scottish CCUS sector on the first stop in a week-long tour of three German regions.
Before taking up her current role, she worked in Edinburgh for the Scottish Government on Scotland’s response to the invasion of Ukraine, and on implementing Scotland’s new social security powers, the biggest transfer of devolved powers since the Scottish Parliament was reconvened. She previously worked for the UK Government, with roles in environment, transport, and work & pensions. She studied at Oxford University and Ashridge Business School.
