
Lukas Willmeroth
Project Leader and Technical Coordinator,
ZBT - The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Center
Lukas Willmeroth is project manager and technical coordinator at the hydrogen test field of ZBT – the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Center. With academic training in both environmental and mechanical engineering, he brings over seven years of experience in hydrogen technologies. Lukas was heavily engaged in the design, development, and operation of the test field infrastructure since its inception. At ZBT, he leads the technical activities in the European project RHeaDHy (https://rheadhy.eu/), where he is responsible for Work Package 5, which focuses on executing a comprehensive test campaign for hydrogen refuelling protocols and components. He is a member of ISO TC 197 working groups WG5, WG24, and WG38, which address international standards for hydrogen fueling protocols and components. Lukas is currently pursuing a PhD on hydrogen refuelling and defuelling processes, combining technical expertise with strategic project leadership across national and EU-funded research initiatives.
