Matthieu Guesné has long been convinced by hydrogen and has made it his subject of expertise over the last several years. Before founding Lhyfe, he was responsible for the research centre of the CEA in Nantes (France). This French public research organization was named by Thomson-Reuters in 2016 as “the most innovative public research centre in the world” and is behind 40% of French patents on hydrogen technology.
Matthieu led a team of 50 people there, conducted major R&D and partnership projects, particularly with companies in the marine renewable energy sector, and piloted a €45 million investment plan.
Before working in a public research organization, Matthieu Guesné was responsible for international sales in the field of microwave electronics. He was also the principal account manager at Hewlett-Packard in the testing and measurement division. He is an engineer by training.
