Tore Lunde is Senior Advisor at Höegh Evi, where he has led projects in floating LNG terminals, energy transition, and clean energy solutions since 2015. He has been central to establishing a CCS partnership with Aker BP and developing floating ammonia import terminals, including a hydrogen-cracking pilot plant in Stord, Norway.
Before joining Höegh Evi, Tore spent 15 years as Managing Director of Hamworthy Gas Systems and later Wärtsilä, delivering gas solutions for marine, offshore, terminals and onshore plants. Tore has worked internationally in the upstream oil and gas industry for 20 years, including roles in Exxon and Total. He holds an M.Sc. in Naval Architecture & Marine Technology from NTNU.
Tore Lunde joined Höegh Evi in 2015 as Senior Advisor involved in the companies floating terminal (FSRU) projects, small and medium size LNG projects and for the last 5 years, Energy transition projects (Clean energy). In this role he has established a partnership with AkerBP to develop a CCS value chain from CO2 collection to storage and also established solutions for floating ammonia import terminals where ammonia is cracked to hydrogen. A pilot plant for this solution has been built a Sustainable Energy’s test facilities at Stord.
Before joining HLNG, he was in Hamworthy Plc’s Executive Committee and served as Managing Director of Hamworthy Gas Systems for 12 years delivering gas solutions for marine, offshore, terminals and onshore plants. He had the same role in Wärtsila for 3 years post Wärtsila’s acquisition of Hamworthy.
He has also 20 years of international experience from the upstream oil and gas industry with Exxon and Total. Initially he started his career as a trainee in DNV GL He has a M. Sci degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Technology from NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
